This page explains what we learn about you when you use our website, what we do with it and the choices you have. We never sell your information.

Who we are

This website belongs to Arnold's Home of Sweets LLC, a bakery at 14227 Rick Dr, Shelby Township, MI 48315.

What we collect

When you ask for a tasting. The form asks for your name and your email address. You can also give us the date of your event, your phone number, a rough guest count, your venue and your design ideas, and choose the occasion from a list. The form service that delivers your request to us also receives your IP address and the type of browser you use.

When you visit. Our website is delivered by a hosting company, Cloudflare, which receives the basic information every browser sends: your IP address, your type of browser and device, and the page you asked for. Cloudflare uses it to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It shows us things like which pages are visited most and roughly which country visits come from. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't store anything on your device and doesn't follow you to other websites.

We don't set any cookies and don't use advertising tools. Apart from Cloudflare's visit counter, the site's fonts, pictures and code all come from our own site.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your request, arrange your tasting, plan your order and keep a record of what we agree. We won't add you to a mailing list or send you advertising.

Who else handles it

We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising. These services help us run the site and receive your request:

  • Web3Forms delivers the tasting form to our email inbox. It keeps a copy of each request for up to three years, stored with Amazon Web Services and other providers that may hold it in several countries (Web3Forms itself is based in India). To block junk messages, it sends your IP address and email address to two spam-filtering services, CleanTalk and Akismet, which check messages sent through many websites. If you send the form with JavaScript turned off, Web3Forms shows you its own confirmation page. (Web3Forms privacy policy)
  • Google hosts our email (Gmail), so your request and our replies are kept in our email account. (Google privacy policy)
  • Cloudflare hosts the website and counts visits as described above. (Cloudflare privacy policy)

We would also share information if the law required us to.

How long we keep it

We keep your request and the emails we exchange with you as part of our business records, and we don't delete them on a schedule. If you'd like yours deleted, just ask (see below). Web3Forms deletes its copy automatically after three years at most.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you ask us to delete it, we'll delete our copies and ask Web3Forms to delete theirs. Call us at (586) 565-0104, email us at , write to us at the address above, or reply to any email we've sent you.

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal. We don't track you across websites or sell your information, so the site works the same whether or not you use them.

Links to other websites

Our pages link to other websites, such as Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps and OpenStreetMap. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we don't control what they collect.

Children

This website is meant for adults planning an event. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us their details, let us know and we'll delete them.

Keeping it safe

The website and the tasting form use encrypted connections.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
